Sustainable aviation fuels

At Lifecycle Oils, we’re helping to power the future of sustainable air travel, by producing a SAF grade biofuel feedstock made from used cooking oil.

Decarbonising flight

Cutting air travel emissions is a huge challenge – and if we’re going to achieve “Jet Zero,” switching from conventional jet fuel to sustainable aviation fuel is an integral part of the solution.

To do that, we need to significantly ramp up production – which is exactly what we’re doing at Lifecycle Oils. And because our SAF feedstock is made from a waste product, it offers significant carbon emissions savings over both ordinary jet fuel and SAF made from virgin feedstocks.

Meeting the mandates

In 2025, the UK Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Mandate came into force – setting legally binding targets for jet fuel suppliers to include increasing proportions of SAF into their fuel mixes. In 2025, this is 2%, rising to 10% by 2030, and 22% by 2040!

At Lifecycle, we’re actively supporting this goal, by providing sustainable, SAF grade feedstocks vital to meeting these mandates.

Consistent quality SAF feedstock

All Lifecycle SAF feedstock is produced at our cutting-edge facility in Wednesbury, to exacting standards. Rigorously tested in-house to ensure it exceeds the SAF standard, it offers a consistent, high quality and sustainable solution.
